Moved and changed a few ads on a few traffic sites this week, which is paying off massively - £4k+ more a year if this week is anything to go by.

So today do this:

1. Add a 468x60 ad under the title and before content in wordpress posts on traffic sites
2. Blend colours, but use an orange on the URL part of the ad (#dd4b26 is great)
3. Make sure no adult content or pages are present
4. Make sure Privacy Policy is in place and link to G T&C

Worth an hour farting around...

Thanks, for this Ratboy. I've followed your advice on a site I've just launched.

I thought I would share this with members here: I found a good wordpress plugin that lets you easily place adsense (and other affiliate links too) in various places on your wordpress site e.g. under the title and before the post's contents as Ratboy suggests.

It is called Advertisement Management, here's the link:

http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/advertisement-management/

It's a simple case of pasting your adsense code once into the provided input boxes and ads are placed across all your posts.

I also think that altering the colours of your adsense adverts to correspond with your website's overall colour scheme is a great tip - thanks.

Thanks for sharing.

About #4, so each site should have their own PP? is it a negative if it's missing it or if it is pretty much the same PP on each site?
Also you said link to G t&c's, do they ask for this and what is the link? Do you have this in the footer or as a link in your PP?

Many thanks

(see the "Google Advertising Cookies" section)

Note that it's mentioned in other places as well, that's just one reference.

I was under the illusion you have to have a privacy policy in place with a link to the global Google T&C...

Besides that having PP and T&C on your site shows Lord G that you are a worthy site and not some chancer.

I've always put up a PP on each site that includes something like this:

This blog/site accepts forms forms of compensation from companies such as eBay (through promotion of eBay Listings) and Google (through showing advertisements from the Google network). We may also from time to time offer adverts and or promotions offered from other 3rd parties.

that's as well as cookie info etc, I've never linked to goog T&C though
