Any suggestions as to how one can increase the amount of visits and/or clicks to names parked with ND ??. i.e. does submitting to SE's help ? So far I am reasonably pleased with the change banners to PPC (after only 10 full days) but still needs some pushing upwards a bit more.

Thanks
DG

You could advertise one of your domains on the home page of MSN for about £1500 an hour, not sure what the return would be?

i think google inposes rules on the parking schemes to say that parked domains can only be promoted in an attempt to sell the domain - so on forums and known sales boards. Any intense promotion that is deemed outside this area then you could face a problem.
Not sure how they police this. ND will put you straight on this

especially a problem now you;ve 'googled' your intentions! :)

Lol, nope Charlie was in fact just asking before I leap really. If you cannot advertise the domain then pretty much unless you have a lot of natural traffic you are stuck with existing traffic only. in which case have to balance pros and cons of that against using banners and other content and having freedom to do what you want. So far the natural traffic is ok and revenue also ok, but I like to move onward and upward rather than just stagnate, and want to see how can do that with parked domains.

Hi guys,

I've been very quiet on here lately. Sorry. If you look at our T&C, it says that all traffic must come from natural type-in and existing SE traffic only. You can advertise the domains for sale on respected forums such as this one, but actually using hyperlinks to drive traffic to domains is not allowed.
Google are keen to keep their search engines not so much free from parked pages but at least not at the top of their results. This ties in with the other post from this week about Google, parked pages and search engines. Despite the numerous puns by some companies involving 'driving, fast lane' etc regarding parking (ahem), domain parking is called parking because of the 'static' nature of the pages, as Google see it. They want parked pages to monetize existing traffic, they don't want parked pages to be used as conduits for earning masses of money from traffic driven to the sites.
As a way of monetizing existing traffic, parking is a perfect method to use. If you are looking to build out and monetize new domains with little traffic, banners may be the way to go on a content page if you have the time or the inclination.

Hope you all have a great Friday and weekend.
