Wanted: Domain Appraisal InstantPayday/com

Hi Guys,

instantpayday on the best suffix, (.com).

I'm looking to sell this or jv with someone and would love your opinions as to what it's worth. Cost me a fair bit when i bought it...

Instant Payday gets 480 searches a month. The domain is not particularly brandable - certainly not brandable enough for someone to give up 50% of potential profits to build a site on it.

This is only my opinion, but if you paid more than $500 for that domain then you paid too much.

Perhaps you should try searching for instant payday loan.

In the states this has 27,000 searches a month.

I've already been offered $3,500 and am not interested so i think you're a bit out...

Using the first 2 words of a 3 word search term is not brandable at all, and gives you zero benefit in the search engines when trying to rank for that term.

I would strongly advise you to snap that persons hand off for $3500.

I think you're being a bit harsh saying it has zero benefit.

You don't actually need to have any of the words in the domain to get to number 1.

Having an exact match domain makes it way easier to rank. That domain does have zero benefit to ranking for that search phrase quoted, so I don't think I'm being harsh.

You're completely right saying you don't need the keywords in the domain to rank, it can still be done. But he could also use this domain to try and rank for "buy viagra", "mobile phones" and "credit cards". Shall we include those search stats in his incredibly flawed valuation too?

Dashu1, how much do you value this domain at? Interestingly, he has been offered the exact same price I paid for BankLoans.net - which would you rather have?

I was pointing out that having 2 words of a 3 word phrase in the domain is not zero in ranking terms, I wasn't making a comment on its value - personally I wouldn't even try with a market like that, it would be incredibly difficult, far too much very serious competition.

Its close to zero for seo purposes. If you're going to say I'm being harsh, lets see you pin it down to an actual $ number that you value this domain at. To be exact I'm going to say anything over $350 is expensive.

It isn't close to zero for seo, it's a good start for ranking.
