I think their TM should be challenged - it's akin to getting a trademark for 'butcher' then stopping all butchers from being able to use that word.

You could get a TM for 'butcher', but not for the catagory which covers butchers, only in catagories which bear no understandable relevance.

Isn't this like getting a TM on the word computer ?

I don't accept that the company can do this even though it looks like they have other the last 3 decades.

Maybe the TM needs to be reviewed ?

This reminds me of BT claiming they had the trademark on "hyperlink". Lunacy.
