As the title suggests I have an iphone and want to use the connection and turn it into a wifi hotspot but dont want it jail broken. :???:

Any apps?

Thanks in Advance! :)

Depending on what carrier your with, I think you can pay for tethering on your contract? Don't quote me on it though!

HTC Desire does it as standard , works really well, had a meeting in a starbucks the other week (they charge for their wifi, some sort of £5 card) and used it for 2 hours no probs and pretty fast.

Yeah but then you would own the runner up ;)

A third of Android owners would like to swap to an iPhone where as only 7% of iPhone owners wanted to change to Android.
[from Gartner]

Arse :(

An App must come out (unbroken) at SOME point.

Thanks People!

Dont think it will. It would be against the developer terms. If it were submitted it would be rejected. :(

iPhones are good. Android is the future
I've got the new desire, has the app you are looking for built in. Great camera, captures video in HD and new apps coming out daily.

I might have forgotten, did I mention it had a 8 megapixel camera?
what's the top of the range iphone got? 5 i think

What about price?

As the quote states:

Aah, thats the beauty of an open source platform. No restrictions.
I'll give it 2 years and its game over for apple unless they make it truly open source.

.

Without wanting to sound like an android fan boy, my Galaxy S is great (apart from not having a dedicated camera button or flash). And after the many problems my girlfriend has had with apple I can only recommend an android phone even more.

Why don't you just jailbreak your phone?
