Is there really no way to find a .co.uk domain owner now?

I find this both frustrating and hard to believe. All I can see is that the domain is with 123 reg, any tricks I am missing?

You've probably tried this but send mails to all the usual admin,info @ etc but use a tracked mail account though so you get notification if it's been opened. That way at least you can confirm the mail account.

Yep the only people protected by this are thieves. Now it's easier to steal a domain as nobody can spot anything changing. Spammers still have lists and for the last few .coms I registered, even with privacy, I've still received forwarded spam mail. Still... "it's for your own good".
