Yes, in my opinion, because the shorter the domain, the easier it is to remember, so better for brand building.

Re valuation, it is worth whatever someone else is prepared to offer you for it, and what you are prepared to let it go at. The value in the domain is simply what someone might be prepared to invest in building a brand around it. The worth of domains such as this is in their "brandability", which is highly subjective.
