I think they've chosen a good domain name there. From a branding point of view I like it. It has the right kind of call to action.

    Have you heard why?

CofE produced a 1 minute advert, that speaks the lords prayer. Produced for cinema adverts, they wanted it played before every showing of Star Wars, The Force Awakens.

The big 3 cinema operators (Vue, Cineworld and Odeion) have all refused to show it, and this accounts for 80% of showings, by saying that it may cause offence.

Now CofE chucking dummy out pram.

Will be a flash in the pan, and press will move on to something else shortly.

Yes I did. My only interest in it is that they are using .uk and that it's getting major coverage by the press, bbc, sky, guardian, etc. Anything that promotes .uk is a good thing - Nominet sure aren't going to do it :)

I think its a great video, shame on those who wouldn't play it for fear of upsetting minorities. Nice to see .uk getting some good use.

It looks like they're listing "prayers" unfiltered on the site. From the sample on the first page, at least 50% of them seem to be overtly/covertly mocking in tone.

They've done very well from a PR perspective mind you, as they've managed to buy themselves headline coverage by effectively not being allowed to pay for ads!

I would imagine the COE marketing guys are very happy it got banned/blocked – might even have been engineered to be.

    Tons of totally free promotion.
