I was in Poundland today and bought a laptop stand to raise my laptop off the table surface, it's and expandable and adjustable stand with rubber feet and it works brilliantly.

I don't have a desktop pc and spend all day on my laptop and sometimes it over heats and cuts out even though I had it raised on a metal bar.

No probs now, not heating up so if you live near a poundland and who doesn't ;)

Go get one for just £1 8)

and how about Nominet adopting their pricing policy for transfer fees?

I can imagine it, you get a Nominet card like the i tunes gift card in Sainsburys' and a message saying please take your transfer to the till

Problem is there would be two customers arguing over who's going to pay for it

Commisson on £1 at 4% wow !

BTW > they have spinners and lures in Poundland for £1

Get in there, you know you want to ;)

I use my laptop for satnav, and I'm fed up of propping it up on the passenger seat on a pyrex tray so the vents are clear. Unfortunately, there are no "Poundland" outlets near here, so I will have to wait for my chance to own one of these bargains.

To add heat of course ;-)

The more expensive ones don't have lights!

Adding heat is counter productive ;)

The more expensive ones don't have lights

So the lights are to make paupers stand out from the crowd

I'll take the one with the lights then ( when I get paid )

I've no idea why that one has lights. To look cool. It must add a tiny amount of heat, but as you say counter-productive!

I've never owned a cooler with lights, just fans. They really do extend the life of laptops though. Mine usually cost £10-£12 (I buy them as presents).

I once bought a BL mini with about a dozen non-functional dials adorning the dash. When I pointed out how silly this was, my management trainee commented "Y but it looks good!".

Two other comments about that car - the Rostyle wheels had sloppy holes in them that had been centred up by packing out with washers, and removing the rear pocket liner revealed over a hundred used Durex wrappers, and one unused contradictive. It was not quite a moving dungheap, but it was not worth the money I paid for it.

Maybe I should have left those dials in place, and fitted lights underneath ... then sold it.

Very safe driving

Those unused contradictives get everywhere . . .
