Try and go during the day, during term time, out of the tourist season. It will still be busy, no doubt, but that's probably the best chance you'll have of dodging crowds of kids. If you plan to go shortly after the start of term or just before the end of term, it's also less likely that schools will have planned outings then.*

(* That's assuming you're not going with kids yourself. Otherwise none of the above will apply)

I went about 7-8 years ago and I seem to remember it was fun in a low key way - nice to see all the well-known buildings reproduced faithfully at a Lego scale...

That's it in a nutshell. Through a kids eyes though, that's great.

I went last year in the middle of the 6 weeks holidays and what a nightmare it was mate, it was literally jam packed. Id deffo recommend you get a q booster or whatever they are called otherwise you will be waiting hours for the good rides!

I personally wouldn't go back

Some friends of mine brought the season ticket and go about once a month with their kids.

They book into a local travellodge, and get their early. Car parking can be miles away from the entrance, and although their is a tram, its a bit 'meh' with where it stops.

Food inside is crazy expensive.

None of the rides will compare to Blackpools Big One, or Oblivion or anything like that. They are only really aimed at up to teenagers, and keeping parents mildly happy.

Yeah its just round the corner from me, it cost millions years ago drained the council of all its money they have not recovered from it 20 years later!

We went last year and stayed in the hotel, it was a great couple of days but i would recommend staying in a b and b instead as the cost was absolutely stupid

I'm back now, was very good cost £200.00 for one day (could of spent that on a DRS :D) kids wouldn't have enjoyed it so much though.
