I'm probably going off topic here, but I was thinking about joining LinkedIn a while ago.

Do people think it's worth joining if I just use it to get endorsed by people I've worked with online? Must look in to it!

The funny thing about linked in is it's a little like building a web site. The quality of the links is all important not the quantity of links. If you build a network of relevant contacts your profile will be taken more seriously and it can lead to opportunities and/or job offers since recruiting agencies crawl the site on a regular basis. Go for it I say.
