what i want to do is register a new domain name at the reg cost and then sell it at profit. Is this possible?. and if so how would you go about it?

Me too. I would like to register a domain for £6 for 2 years and sell it a week later for £50,000. If anyone could point me to the domain I would be most greatful. Perhaps this should be a sticky as i'm sure others would be interested in this too???

... and yes, that is very possible, the skill is in knowing what to reg and getting there before anyone else does, but there are still many opportunities out there if you can learn what the hot areas online are, but that comes with experience.

It wasn't meant to be unhelpful, just that many come here looking for the golden ticket, spend a lot on loads of domains and never achieve much. If you read the whole of acorn domains website you will see the mistakes others make and it'll help you start off on the right track!
