I tend to agree but because I do have quite a large list of names banners are quick and easy. Not passing off is also dealt with under this arrangement.

I would be happy to do a rev share and point at anyone who thinks they have a killer solution. Over to you, you hum it, I'll sing it. Untill then banners.

I would argue that a few banner ads and links to other sites is hardly 'real activity', I would also argue that its your name so it doesnt matter what you do (within reason) ;)

As a few others have already mentioned, it could be worth getting advice from active domainers / web dev agencies etc as I believe whoever advised you to do the 'minimum' to 'show trading' was barking up the wrong tree.

If it was going for that much I'd be at the front of the queue ;)

I wonder if Simon would be tempted to sell london.co.uk if there was some hard cash on the table? I'll start the bidding at £50K :)

...always someone trying to muscle in on my negotiation ;-) Honestly :-)

Didn't even get a response, guess he either didn't take it seriously or it's way too low :)
To a reseller, you looking at £200k plus, end user £500k plus. Bearing in mind that once developed properly it has the potential to earn seven figures annually.

If I owned all those domains, I would sell them all except of course london.co.uk and use the proceeds to pay for the site to be developed professionally.

Agreed.

It is very reassuring that if I fail to make a go of it then I need look no further for my £10K and two bars of Yorkie

Thanks all of you for your help so far:)

So would you take 100k cash now for london.co.uk? (plus maybe you could see your way into chucking in a few towns for good measure? )

Yorkies are 49p (here)

£100k = 204081.63 bars

so thats 1 a day for 558.7 years

or 10 a day for 55.87 years

Hey Simon,

Great insight, you could come along to the london show in September, lots of people there would love to do a joint partnership....

Develope :)

Newspapers would be interested

Newspapers would definately be interested, as I have recently ereceived a letter from director of marketing for one of largest groups, expressing interest in Cardiff.co.uk. Who knows what they would pay for London.co.uk...

I think geo domainers in UK should be thinking of combining resources and developing together... I would throw my domains in the ring... Cardiff.co.uk, Coventry.co.uk, Wolverhampton.co.uk, Warrington.co.uk and more...

Any thoughts any one?
