Hi Guys

I've just completed a page about the new Galaxy S6, which will be out around 10 April. If anyone could help me promote this page by linking to it, or Tweeting about it, let me know.

I don't want to link directly to it from here, but here's a Tweet about it:

The page has Samsung's video intros to the phone, as well as a full tech spec. If you can spot any issues with the page then let me know.

The only problem with renewing these phones is I end up wanting one!

Thanks

2011 called, they want their business model back.

Don't worry, I'm working on a new business model ;) In the meantime however, if anyone would like to link, Tweet or Facebook post to this page, that would be great. It's quite a comprehensive guide to the phone, so I'm sure it will be of interest to many.

In all fairness the content is quite good. It's just a shame that anyone who lands on the page will be like wtf, where the stylesheet at?

Thanks, the content did take a while, the number of videos I've watched about the Galaxy S6 now to get all the spec stuff right!!! I know I've got to do something about the page designs, I will do that, but I'm focusing on content first at the moment.

The only thing I'm not sure about the S6 is whether it uses more GPS standards than just A-GPS. I think it does, so more Googling required.

Your best bet is to just spam the shit out of that page and hope for the best to be honest.

know I've got to do something about the page designs, I will do that,

The problem is Accelerator that page really has no chance of ranking. Maybe next time you write some content make it more niche? Search for other keywords and ideas related to products?

Off the top of my head an article about "Is the Samsung S6 Waterproof?"

If you added articles like that over time your site would probably attract a good bit of long tail traffic as you keep adding.

Accelerator, you've taken a bunch of someone else's photos, a bunch of someone else's videos, some relatively bland but unique text, and wrapped it all up in possibly one of the worst designs ever seen this side of 1999, on a garbage domain.

It screams low value garbage, without someone even having to read the text you've written. The chance of anyone actually reading it when you send them that link and ask them to tweet or share it, is near non existent. You've already failed before you even started.

This really is like watching a car crash in slow motion, its painful to watch you do this over and over and over and over.

I'm confused, have you produced a review of the product without actually having tested one? Words fail me!

You've got to start somewhere. Over time I will improve things.

I think this is probably what it feels like to be Patrick Swayze in Ghost

You can see things playing out in front of you but you can't help/change them..

Need a Whoopi figure to bridge the gap and talk to Accelerator

Hey, you guys can be hard work, have you ever thought about being encouraging?

Also, is anyone thinking of buying the S6? Having had a close look at it, I'm now thinking of buying one, it looks amazing.

We're being kind Chris - trying to help you turn a bad strategy around.

The suggestion for more niche "is it waterproof?" type content is a good one if you're going to persist in targeting these kinds of ultra-competitive products.

Even then I still think you'll be fighting a losing battle.

If you're basically blindly following a strategy other people know won't work because you want to test it for yourself, that's one thing. If you still believe this stuff works, you really need a reality check.

But we're all giving you good, solid and kind feedback... Not being hard work!

You've got to start somewhere. Over time I will improve things.

If you'd just found out what affiliate marketing was a month or two then these types of sites would be understandable. If you've been into domains, websites etc for 10+ years then you really should understand that what you're doing is never going to work in a million years.

You've got this template on fashion, phones, travel, how many other niches? You're just replicating the same mistakes over and over across each niche. Why not bin several of them and just do one properly?

I'll help you out @acclerator .. this is essentially what is happening.

Accelerator: Guys I've got this shop renting VHS movies out... any advice

Us: you stuck in the past, no one rents VHS anymore

Accelerator: thanks for the advice, i'll take it on board, not actually do anything as i think my strategy is working, i get 10 people a week browsing my shop

Us: You need to change your model

Few days later...

Accelerator: Hey guys, I've added a new section to the shop which develops films from disposable cameras

Us: ....we give up

I appreciate that I need to change my model, that's a given.

You will note in the post I asked for people to help me promote the page. If no-one wants to, that's not a problem. You will note I did not ask for the particular advice that I've been given. You can give it, and I'll say thanks for it, but don't expect me to immediately act on it, I can only do so much.
