I'm not a newbie domainer, I am simply new to the .co.uk market. I am trying to get a feel for it, as your forums seem to be no1. I own many domains and have made many xxxx sale's, .com though. I came across this domain in the .co.uk and was curious as to whether it is worth investing in it. I am only asking advise, not to be panned by some "regular member" who probably has never sold a domain in his life.

it's been 7 days since your first thread, several advisory responses and you are still deliberating the value of registering the domain despite that fact that you already have 250 domains under your belt.
I'll repeat. For £6 or less, or thereabouts register it. Suck it and see.

OK, longtail exact co.uk with 8000 matches. Reg fee – 6 quid. 8000 matches should convert nicely at about 50 sales per month. If you take 1 pound per sale = 600 quid a year. If you like this profit margin – go for it.
Don’t want any visitor to think that it’s a domain valuation. Valuing domain without even knowing it… hmmmm, not my style. The above is about developed website potential.

Cost of .co.uk domain registration for two years: £6. Enough said. At my charge out rates, I could have earned a quid in the time it took for me to read this thread and post this comment. I'm sure the OT has spent a lot more time reading and typing.
You don't believe the domain could make as much as £600 developed?

If your not a newbie then you certainly have a good way of pretending to be one!
Why don't you just reg it and then post it for an appraisal? It will cost you £6. Alternatively PM me then name and i will advise you (i wouldn't reg the name).
You can't value a name based on what it could be worth developed.

My advice would be don't register it, or anything else, at least not yet.
I think a lot of domaining is about having the courage of your own convictions, and it doesn't sound like you're that sure of yourself at all given that this is £6 we're talking about - it's a bit like spending a week at a bar trying to decide which drink to buy.
If you do own hundreds of names and have actually sold names for XXXX then you must know that no-one can advise you on whether to hand reg a name on the basis of knowing its length and exact match, it's just plain daft to even ask the question.

I have always followed my hunches, and generally wont hesitate to jump in. But I am not a developer, not even close, I can't code and no next to nothing about that side of the industry. My business is buy,flip.

The question was about PC related (I assume – components) domain. This is one of my “territories”, and this is where it is much more profitable to develop (then sell, if needed) than just to rely on the value the name only. Component niche is not saturated, if you are not getting into common components like SD Cards. Developing a PC component domain even with few thousands exacts is a good idea.
P.S. Just regged gigabitrouter (dot) co (dot) uk, on about 3000 exacts and average unit price at around 100 quid - it is just asking to be developed. With basic affiliate site going up in less than a day – it is good investment.

How long is a piece of string? You have had a lot of attention in this thread and much good advice. Now, are you going to part with that £6 or not?
After discussions with other members, ive not regged the domain, but ty for the concern anyways. I lern't more from them about the .co.uk market than anything posted in this thread, so it helped me make a considered decision.
If your as good as you all say you are, you will understand why I 1) hesitated and 2) ultimately decided not to aquire it. The domain I had considered was computer/desktop/themes.co.uk
