I dont have alot of experience in .co.uk domains, but I am tempted to hand reg one I found. I could really do with some advise over this though as the domain in question is very long.

It has 21 letters, is 3 words. The local "exact search volume" is 8100 and worldwide it gets another 246,000 exact searches. Its in the computing niche. Should I reg this type of domain?

Thankyou for your responses.

The spelling is correct for both the UK and US. I'm just a bit concerned about the length of the domain.

Easier said than done. I own around 250 domains and have only partially developed about 10. I have no idea as to seo or even having a great template to work from, atm im just using a basic layout.

Just get the on page SEO basics right, clean code, good Title tag, meta tags, good keyword distribution, and then focus on getting some links into your site and you should start ranking. Getting links in becomes more important in more competitive niches.

Ty Skinner. I am eager to learn and make some progress in development. I have some free time soon, so I will be taking a deeper look at development.

My main concern was .co.uk, but it seems that there is a thriving industry for the extension.

You might find DevShed useful for SEO advice, if you can understand what they're saying (I can't, half the time).

So I'm still undecided whether to purchase or not. The search results are

How could you place a value on it, .co.uk domain?

What is the minimum amount of local searches I should be looking for in .co.uk?

Sorry to be a pain, but I want to get this right from the start :)

What's the value of the product and how many advertisers are running Adwords campaigns for the term?
