Hi hello hope you are all well i just wondered if anyone can guide me to a site or give any info on the basics of buying domains reg them and then what you can do with them hands up total novice but would love to get into it.

Is it all based around how much traffic a name has or can you buy a name maybe reg it new and sell it if its worth it or both any advice most appreciated Kieron

Hi Keiron

I'd spend the next 2 weeks reading the whole of this site.

You will then after 2 weeks be at least tooled up with the knowledge that will save you time and money. Consider it a book, dig deep but every bit of information is here you just need to find it.

Good luck

thanks for the reply i have been reading lots of section from the site i guess i am just a bit confused trying to digest it all and i think i admit i may need to take a few steps back and learn the basics i dint know if anyone knew an idiot guide to buying and selling domains i could look up

Take a look at Admin's domainprices.co.uk site for past sales data.

If you go to my WebRef.eu site, there's a section on Domain Name Trading Resources, which will give you more general reading.
