There have already been over 50 articles about the new .uk domains published in the first 48 hours - it took a month to get that many about the initial consultation.

I guess that really goes to show the real-world difference in interest levels between a "consultation" and the "real thing".

Anyway, thought you might be interested in reading some of the material that's out there...

independent.uk?

From the summer of 2014, every website that has one of the established UK domain name suffixes - .co.uk, .org.uk and so on – will be offered the chance to switch to a shorter .uk suffix (for example, independent.co.uk would become independent.uk).

I wonder if the newspaper ever sorted out with Nominet about independent.uk being on the non-government reserved list?

Added another dozen links or so. There's been (numerically) the same amount of coverage in 4 days as the V1 consultation got in 37 days.

Thanks

Thanks for starting this and maintaining it over all this time.
It has many times been a very useful resource over both .uk consultations.

Closing in on 100 articles already (98 as of this post). Word is spreading. At a glance, positive coverage outweighs negative by at least 4-to-1, which is almost exactly the reverse of V2.

There has been as much coverage of V3 in 10 days as there was of V1 in 78 days. V2 never got close to 98 articles all-in :)
