Edwin tweeted the following last night, which I thought was a very interesting concept:

That's quite a surpising stat really. I love affiliate marketing and the fact that you're earning money whilst sleeping or out drinking with friends!

Another stat in a similar vein...

If you did something every day that increased your sites' earnings by £1 a day.

5 days a week.

For 3 years.

That's £284,700 per annum. Handy.

Yeah. Affiliate marketing done right is like compound interest (though you have to keep doing "stuff" but hopefully the numbers generally will trend up even if on a day-to-day basis they will fluctuate a lot).

In theory you should be able to snowball income as you build more sites, but one issue is that Google doesn't like stale content, so the old "passive" sites drop off, which is a shame.
