I am experiencing outages with my 1&1 shared hosting at the moment. Support are not moving fast so I want to monitor my sites to see how bad the problem is. Can anyone recommend a website monitoring tool or service? Free would be nice but I'm quite happy to subscribe to a service for a period to get this resolved.

thanks

If you don't want to host it yourself then i can recommend

alertra.com which is not free but is v good
siteuptime.com - the free version only checks once an hour I think...

Thanks for the replies everyone. I'll give alertra a go, thanks Paul.
