Could you please advise here, I cant understand why this would be an issue. Does that mean the company (Monsoon) would take legal action or something against me if that site got high iin the SERPS for the keyword and it generated revenue through affiliates?

Google Images is extremely broken for this phrase. I just searched for "Monsoon Dresses" and I can assure you that all of the results feature dresses that just WOULD NOT be practical in adverse weather conditions.
In all seriousness. I was going to catch this the other day but decided against it for the trademark issues documented here. I see newlookdresses.co.uk dropped and some others also with the same issue.

Agreed, I never realised this problem about Trade Mark, I thought a fan type of site would be OK... what an idiot I am Yesterday I got blackberrytorch_co_uk which is also Trade Marked. To my amazement... no one wants it. ha ha, a lesson learnt!
Almost went for phaseeightdresses.co.uk and karenmillendresses.co.uk which are also dropping today. Whew... thank goodness I didnt waste another fiver..
