Is it normal for search results under keywords to dramatically drop my listing from first to about the sixth page?

Probably just a temporary thing, MSN does this quite alot, could be caused by a data center changeover.

Monitor it, but it should'nt be anything to worry about.

I think that when they fix the search results you should come back up to the first page! unless you lost a lot of links! but I think you'll be fine!
