Whats with the apparent increase in domains not dropping when they should? Is it a new scam whereby you ring nom, tell them your the owner and want to renew but are on holiday. It gets held over for a few days, you then have less competition trying to catch it?

Recession filtering through, Nominet have rules in place for deceased and bankrupt companies, also transferral of ownership for such domains from ltd and or company to individual and so on, a lot of businesses went bust, still are, however I'm having a record year, only five months in as well.
But yes, other domains being held due to being purchased but in the main it's recessionary causes and rules in place that we wouldn't notice much if wasn't for the state of the economy.
