Any *new* auctions will have an unknown endtime which will be any second within the half hour after you specify the finish.
So for example if you set an auction to finish at 19:00 then the countdown will be until then. After that it will simply show 'auction ending soon' for a random amount of time up to maximum 19:30. Nobody knows what this endtime is including the auction creator. It would finish somewhere between 19:00:01 and 19:29:59.
I notice this is done at other places with 'auction ending soon' appearing for quite a while. This removes all auction extensions as they are no longer necessary.
Note this does not apply to auctions already listed - for now they are shown as auctions with 'known endtimes'. They will of course all finish within a week and this will become the new standard.
