depends how you are trying. A new domain can appear in the index within hours or a couple of days. Or it can take months.

what methods are you using, to get it indexed in google ?

The right way is go to a site you have that is already indexed in google
Add a link to your new site from the homepage

It will normally take around 2-3 days for it to show up. Do a search for your domain name in Google as http://www.domain.com or www.domain.com to see if google has picked it up.
Also, check your stats / ref logs like awstats and see if / when Googlebot last accessed the site. As long as you see that it has hit your site (which normally happens within an hour of buying a domain name as they check whois records) then you just have to wait for it to start showing up.
Google recently made an update or two and it has slowed some things down.

Subit it to social media wbesites link digg.com and you will get it indexed in few days
