According to NameStat total new gTLDs registration stats are 24,925,392 as of today.

How low will they go?

Although, if you look at the biggest droppers, its pretty telling. top and date were pretty much giving registrations away for a while, we all knew there wouldn't be retention on the bulk there.

Will be interesting to see how the rest of the year pans out, once the skewed / hyperinfaltedness is taken out of some of the new gs.

Lost another 11,709 registrations since you started this thread earlier today! And it would have been much much worse, except that it looks like .loan are faking registrations (or giving them away, which is pretty much the same thing) at an insane rate, over 45,000 more today alone.

So if you mentally take those out of the picture, the new GTLD namespace lost 0.2% of all existing registrations today.

Yup, saw that. 24,913,683 (-11,709) new gTLD domains as today, will continue to decline.

Frank Schilling and his 3,000% domain price increase won't help.

I'm seeing .RED and the .PARTY has ended. :)

Fire sales of failed registries.

Registration volume will never get to this level unless there are 1 - 2 cent deals again. Oversaturated market and no real consumer and business demand.

It's crazy how many millions of dollars have been and will continue to be lost in this silly debacle. That money could have been invested in good .coms or other sound ccTLDs. The registries will soon be boracic. Some are already. Investors will be in bed with chronic buyer's remorse. My 2p.

Not just by consumers, registries and registrars wasting marketing dollars promoting new TLD garbage.

If you bought new domains for investment you probably aren't going to pick good cctlds or .coms. :)

How about vacations, stocks, bonds, or donations to charities?

The numbers are only vaguely steady because .vip has seen hundreds of thousands of registrations in the last few days. If you strip those out then the new GTLD look like the bit of the roller-coaster just after you've finished climbing the hump...

Take out the Chinese, domain investors, and you are left with not many domains overall.

Most extensions are exposed to the Chinese drops.

Which companies are exposed? Any share opportunities?

Not looking good and there are more domains that will drop.
