Hi Everybody

Nice to join this community. I think a few here already know me from Rick's Board & BiggerBoard.

Anyway been in the Domain business since 1999 and nearly all my domains are dotcoms. Most of my domains are investments for the long term and currently I mainly use ppc.

I live on on the South Coast.

Hi and welcome, can we expect some words of wisdom from a 'old timer' , miss out weird domains, as all here are guilty of bright ideas for dud domains, sensible info is very welcome...z

Hi and thanks to everyone for your warm welcome

Erm.. Zee...words of wisdom I don't know but I'll try to help if I can. I think everybody has a slightly different 'take' on things in this diverse industry.

When I caught the domain 'bug' it was back in '99 and I can remember (embarrassingly) sitting at a seafront cafe with two similarly afflicted friends
going through our costly domain appraisals from HitDomains and working out how much we were worth

These were the days when we were initially paying £100 per dotcom reg  and my business model was to wait for eager buyers to phone or email me desperate to buy.

Anyway an expensive education but I wised up eventually thanks mainly to Rick Schwartz (Webfather). I can also look at the list of some of my names I let drop in the early days when I didn't know better - very painful.
