Hi,

This is my first message here. My name is Erdinc but I decided to go with Erdi in this forum. I'm 38. I live in London. I have been domaining for a few years now. I have less than 200 domains which are mostly average quality.

I mostly buy .com domains at expired domain auctions. I have a few .net's too. However I'm ashamed to admit that I don't own any .co.uk domain. I few years ago I registered one .co.uk and found it very confusing having a master account at nominet. Hopefully I will get used to this and start buying some .co.uk domains.

In April this year I launched the expired domain search website namecatch dot com and started focusing more on expired domains. However the site didn't turn out to be a big success.

I have been a regular in another forum for long time and I spend probably more time in forums than I should.

Some of my good domains:
fashionprices.com
bigpixels.com
myboiler.com

Some of my bad domains:
sprach-kurs.com : It turns out this German word is written together.
hidecss.com : When somebody copied my css and website design I was very annoyed and came up with this project idea. I know it is silly but at the time it looked like a good idea.
nolwenn-leroy.com : I was checking some newly dropped names and found this one. It is a name of a singer I never heard of. I thought that's a nice looking girl and I might enjoy building a site. Another silly idea of mine. There is no website of course.

Hello Erdi and Welcome to Acorn... i got a chuckle reading your not-so-good names and the reasons behind each. :) funny how we come up with some names out of curiosity or disgust...i have one i registered last year because of a bad experience while viewing a live video...it's still sitting there not doing what it's supposed to do... but it's a nice brandable, hmmm.

200 domains is a lot, i used to have more than 50 domains. now i only have around 20-30, and some are .uk's...i only register one or two at a time depending on mood and budget.

just hang around here and you'll learn a lot from the masters. :)

cheers!
