Newbie :- Has my site been indexed by google ? i'm not sure if it has or not ?!?

thank you for that blossom i did a quick search via i.e.7 so not worrys.

but do you know of a way to type in my domain name , then for it to show me where i rank and for what key words ?

woudl be really cool to see where my site is in the index , other than for my exact search term of my domain name .

I'm not sure if it's possible, when you think about how many websites and how many keyword combinations are out there, it's a mammoth task. But someone else might know of a site.

You can see in Google Webmaster Tools what keywords Google associates with your site, but that's not really very helpful for what you want.

I tend to just keep a shortlist of words I'm already ranking for and input Google positions every now and then. You could do the same with a list you're aiming for. I don't tend to look beyond the first 5 pages though.
