Nightmare week

Is it me or has this week been a nightmare for internet based services?

With Krystal Going down (still no service status page after asking them on a number of occasions :-x ), the VoIP supplier Gradwell having nothing but trouble with VMware ran servers.......... and a few other little things

Well 1and1 have hung up on me 2 more times and complaints only seem to respond when I send them 50 of the same email.

(btw for anyone wanting to get a response from [email protected] within 2 hours, sending 50 of the same email is very effective - their reply still only answers half your questions, but then you just send another 50 emails asking them to answer the other half of the questions - it works)

yep, Nildram (Pipex) went down again on Monday and Telewest (or Virgin media as they are called now) have had problems since last Friday

This is why I stick to a host that has proven time an again that they keep their shit going, and why I promote them (well that and the affiliate comissions) at every opp I get

My server has never had downtime (in 9 months), my vps has been down once for 20 minutes in the last 9 months and that was to recompile php and replace one of the hard drives, my shared hosting has not been down at all according siteuptime.com who I use monitor the servers every 2 minutes, since I set it up 9 months ago

The only issue I had is nominet, and this f*cking chip and pin sentry machine off barclays that works less than 123-Reg support (yeah like thats possible).

Recommended Rackspace earlier on another thread and one of our RS Servers immediately went down. Could this be the start of the Matrix?

They sprung fanatically into action and swung through the data centre at lightening speed, throwing bananas at the restart button. Back up but not out of the woods .. err, jungle.

lol, didn't mean to lay the problems on too thick. You just don't find many monkeys in the woods. Shame really, would brighten up the UK.
