Hi Guys,

Do you think this slow down/halt started on Friday night??

I know the 99days pattern is not a hard and fast rule and occasionally these names hang on interminably but there seemed to be a greater number of domains than usual on my list that were due to drop but hadn't by 2359 last night.

from Friday for me too!

Half the names I was chasing yesterday didn't drop but they should have. It's not unusual to get some, but this was too much of a coincidence.

Will this likely be until Monday morning or are Nominet good with out-of-hours support?

In past its been Monday, but alot of the times Nom never knew of problems earlier as most folks dont contact them thinking someone else has already. Best way to get it resolved is for as many people to email/call them to report it.

The thing is, how do you contact them? Their email is only checked during office hours and their phones are only answered during office hours.

Looks like no drops for the 3rd and the 4th doesn't look promising.

If this has happened in the past, do these domains stay suspended for some time, e.g. months?

No they will probably catch up all in 1 day sometime soon, sometimes this allows us lesser mortals more chance to catch something good.
