I've not had any emails off them, so I'm guessing these are emails you have to be opted in to receive?

Just picked up my phone and had 27 emails through. Always nice to feel popular.

They are from the nom tech list telling you registrations and some other stuff will be offline while they update the standard epp. Lots are thanking you for contacting them, I think they included the mailing list on their to: creating a loop heh.
