Seems pretty futile. I doubt it's great as a game and any message it's trying to get out about domains is kind of muted by the fact that most websites don't adhere to the rules

Sooo Android own 60-70% of the market and apple are what 15-20% ?

If I was into conspiracies and that most apple users are sheep, nominet maybe targeting the right people

* edit, I'm talking global figures, not UK only, since I presume .UK is hitting for global uptake ?

Those stats just can't be right. Nearly everyone I know except me owns only an iphone, lol.

in the UK I believe the numbers are fairly close together, both in the mid-30%, global tho Apple is going no where.

If nominet are purely targeting the UK, they would need to do both Apple AND Android, if they only want to do one 1 on a global scale they need to do android only.

Their marketing people should have concluded the same.
