Not dropping :?

I am waiting on several domains to drop between the dates 22-02-09 and 27-02-09 but they dont seem to be dropping. It there something going on i dont know about?

Are they registered to one person or a few of the same people?

Tag Names had loads there, my guess its one of them.

Why do these names not drop like the rest? Is there a special "dispensation" for this tag??!

The 'best guess' off the 'informed' people is the way they operate and pay. Mostly via paper some say, so it takes time for nominet to do stuff.

Odd thing is, some of them are being re-reg, so Tagnames are clearly able to sort if possible.

Leaving domains such as pumps_co_uk to the risk of "suspension" let along being dropped is beyond me.

Last time I asked, Nominet said that Tag Names had exceeded their credit terms and the drop process would restart at day 0.

I find it's their .org.uk's which are being left.

I have at LEAST 20 .co.uk's that are between 100-150 days from expirary under tag names.

You know, if I don't pay my loan, the bank warn me, then they warn me again, then they recover the money. Why do nom insist on holding these names if they are unpaid ?

Sometimes you need to cut your losses, given the numbers you'd think they would be gone.

Some names do eventually drop tho.

They appear to have their auto renewals set to just one day prior to suspension. Just to piss off catchers. I've even considered removing their names from our lists but decided against it for the sake of completeness.

Why would pumps still show suspended ? When i renew my names its reflected almost instantly on the whois but theres show last update like 3 weeks ago.

Hmm - strange indeed. My previous post was the way I saw it last time it cropped up. Will do some more checking.

If you scan your drop list for their tag, where the expirary date has past if i can see possibaly dozens, i'll have to recheck but i don't track them any more or try to book them. But with a bigger list to check has to loads of them.

My silly not so smart phone keep going nuts so sorry if my post is choppy.
