Old design still on the site

This isn't my site, it's someone else's.

The web designer has done a new site and if you type in the address with www. it shows the new design but just using http:// it shows the old design, why is this?

Has the DNS been updated?

exactly.

Try "ipconfig /flushdns" on the PC, that can help

DNS - A records can be www = 21.21.21.21 and the @ = 32.32.32.32 and * = 44.55.66.77 so each one can point to a different server and show a different website.

You need to make all 3 DNS records point to the same I.P.
www = www.yoursite.co.uk
* = anything.yoursite.co.uk
@ = yourwebsite.co.uk
