Wanted: Service Online Shop Website required

webdesigner wanted for Online shop website

I;m looking for somebody who can build a site for my sisters childrens clothing business.
Website must be very easy to update as my Sister is not exactly tech savvy.

Would ideally use Paypal as payment method on the website.

probably looking at a wordpress or Joomla site i imagine though i'm open to all ideas.

Main thing is that its easy for my sister to update the stock, add descriptions and images very easy.

For the look of the site then she wants nothing fancy, have the look something like the current site: YourLittleAngels . com

Anyone who can build such a site then PM me with details & price.
Ideally with examples of other sites you have build, demo sites or sites using same software.

Had many PM's with most asking budget,
since theres been various people say they could do it for around £250 then i'd set that as out budget though of course the the best price & service will get the job.

project got put on hold then due to recession but it's back on now.

I've been building ecommerce sites and apps for 15 years. If you are serious about selling online dont use open source software. If you're not that worried go ahead. I would never give open source software to a business client, most of the sites I build are around £3-5K.

I have done over £500k of turnover using open source software in the last 6 years. Not sure why people would dismiss it as not a serious solution. Never given me any problems, and customers like it.

I don't build for others and not pitching for business so my view is totally unbiased.

Thats a rather silly attitude. A vast part of the internet is built on open source with linux, apache, mysql, php, bind, perl, loads of the networking tools, loads of mail servers, even some routers dealing with huge amounts of traffic are running open source software.

Sure some open source software is not very good but i could say that about some closed source software too...

I've had lots of replies so will try deal with them all over the next few days and then settle on somebody for job.

I'll say once again that main thing we need from this site is for mys ister to Add new items, change categories, edit pictures....etc Just as easy as she would add an item to ebay or similar, no coding or technical knowledge or its no use.

Right, been talking to one member who showed me Wordpress & it worked great so i think im going with him.

Though if nayone wants to put their name forward as a backup if i dont hear from this member soon then PM me with following info:

Link to somewhere i can see templates / themes i could pick
Can you add paypal checkout? (that is essential)
can you do the site over the next few days?
And of course price!

I've had many people give me quotes of around £250 so no point goign higher than that.
Now i'm sure i want Wordpress when before i was not certain

So anyone that send tquote about non wordpress design then obviously i've decided not to go with you but thanks for interest.

Take a look at Synephrine HCL Store thats all totally free to use, and easy to setup. The shop is run by Ecwid and you have a shop front with them and integration with wordpress.

I haven't set that one up yet, I'm still tinkering with the CSS layout

Scotland, if you know how to install wordpress all the above stuff on syneph is done from the dashboard, the shop plugin, the theme everything.

Maybe worth having a play yourself ?

Thanks for the tip, it does look to be a really nice option but unfortunately i just dont have the time to do it myself.

Looks like all those who were interested & could do it using Wordpress have fell away so is there anyone who would like to step in?

Even if you cant do it for the £250, PM me with your price and i'll put it to my sister.
Or if you cant do it using Wordpress but something which is similar to edit/update then feel free to PM me.

why not have a go and install zen cart, virtuemart, magento etc, save yourself a few bob and learn about these packages.

TBH £250 aint gonna get you a lot if your looking for someone else to install, set up etc unless its done as a favour.
