When it's a £30 domain sale, the £30 transfer fee is off putting, that's what I was trying to say.

the balancing of costs for services isn't easy and perhaps the transfer fee which is quite an healthy income for nominet affords the company full time wages for those involved in the DRS proceadure, of which there is no fee payable by either party until the point of conclusion whereby monies still don't go to nominet so in that respect it's plausable.

mmmmmmmmm.... that's an interesting perspective and a fair point, which seems to highlight an anomaly in the cost recovery 'logic'. I'll get back to you on that one.
