Opinions on Chromecast

Hey people,

I am thinking of getting a Google Chromecast. I want to be able to stream films and tv shows etc from my pc to my standard hd tv (ie not smart). Chromecast seems to be easy and no fuss for this need, but also seen some horror reviews of lag and A and V being out of sync etc.

What your opinion on Chromecast?

I've never used it but consider waiting a week or so for amazons firetv stick looks like its going to be much more powerful

I have two of them. Also a Roku, Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime.... We use the chromecasts in different rooms and sometimes it's convenient to stream something from a mobile phone or a Mac in a different room... even casting a tab in Chrome browser...

There is some overlap of services that we are paying for, just really depends on what your setup and expectations are. The good thing is the Chromecast is only $25-$35

the main thing i want is to be able to stream from my pc to my tv. Does the fire stick do that? Cant see that info anywhere.

If you install Plex on both works like a charm
