Given all the new extensions that we hear are about to be launched (.hotel .app . shop .Anythingifyougetmymeaning, wouldn't it be an idea for Nominet to compete by NOT intorducing the .uk
They could exploit this to there own advantage by just introducing other extensions such as .Shop.uk, .hotel.uk, etc these would run alongside the existing suffix like .org.uk, .co.uk .me.uk ...thus competing with other soon to be launched extensions whilst keeping it all under .uk brand and control
This would open up for nominet hundreds of future launches rather than the one under just the . Uk and would be a compromise because Nominet get more revenue and .co.uk would still be the number one choice for many
Is this a possibility or am I still under the influence
