Surely if there are speed limits in place in this part of Italy then this video alone would be enough to enforce some type of legal penalty / ban? I've seen loads of people driving crazy on youtube showing their faces, then flick to the speedo which displays .e.g, 192mph, yet i wonder if people ever get prosecuted for such a thing? If not the police are missing a serious trick there....

years ago i may have looked at this differently but when you have children it flicks a different switch, dont get me wrong i love fast cars and driving fast but i keep that for track days, not the streets,

The guy is a factory test driver - although he was driving quickly I didn't see him do anything reckless. He waited until the road was clear before overtaking; had plenty in reserve around bends to be able to correct if required; the car will stop in half the distance most other cars will.

The guy didn't look at all reckless. Far from it, he looked like he was driving just like the police do (lookup a book called Roadcraft).

He looked to be in complete control, and confident of his abilities in a car designed to do what he was doing. He wasn't up the rear of other cars, he didn't risk blind corners (bear in mind his line of sight was higher than the camera view), and he probably knows those roads inside out.

Considering where it was (Modena), where there are other super car companies, I guess the locals (and police) are used to it.

So speeding towards a bridge which is quickly followed by a bend at speed is fine ? and speeding down the side of cyclists ?

In a car such as that, with a skilled, alert driver - yes, I think it's fine. Better that than a transit van with a driver smoking a fag and one arm out of the window at the speed limit.

I'm only guessing, but I'd expect the Bugatti to be about as well built as anything on the planet.

I read somewhere that to be able to buy and run a Veyron, you should really have a net worth of £30m upwards. A set of tyres are over £20k and probably don't last too long.
