Go outside around 10:30pm and where Mars was around 8pm you'll see a planet with a subtle yellow glow - it'll be Saturn
Moon is very low in sky at the moment - and will look a lot bigger, even though it's a known optical illusion as the moon is always the same size no matter if it's on the horizon or way up in the sky
Great viewing at the moment for anyone with a stargazing interest!
Look South and you'll see Betelgeuse (red in colour), the Winter Triangle, Orion, Pleides Cluster (looks like a small whispy cloud but actually a birthpool for new stars) - and Sirius, the brightest visible star excluding our own Sun and easily spotted as it wildly 'flickers' due to it's light bouncing off the Earth's atmosphere.
Geeky side definitely coming out tonight - I'm off to do some long division and see how many naughty words I can make on my calculator
