ok here goes,
My husband and I own ppi.org.uk and we have just been offered over £3000 for it. Is that a good amount?
we are having lots of problems with the purchaser who clearly states in their terms of sale agreement that they shall pay the full amount and give us 2 days to change the details of the domain over to them, however they offered to send a part payment via bacs to an account (which unfortuneately was closed by bank as they thought it dormant) which is in the process of bouncing back, i know confusing. However they wanted us to change the http settings which we have done they have already placed a website on this page although technically we still own the domain without any monies changing hands. they have suggested that we collect a cheque from their offices and deal with the said nominet forms then and there however I am very dubious about cheques and them being rubbery (bouncing). I have been advised that we should not exchange any details until full funds have been recieved and cleared in account.
Does anyone have any suggestions???
Should we just sell it on the open market via a good company like sedo?
Are there scammers out there doing this kind of thing and has anyone heard of Cybernet media the company trying to purchase it?
