Hi,

Trying to catch a couple of .co.uk names with Pool and SnapNames. Just wondering - if I win them does anybody know who they are registered with? Is it easy to move them to my preferred registering service (e.g. 123-reg.co.uk) or do they impose exit fees or other barriers?

Thanks
Stephen.

PS. Does anybody know if there is an out of hours contact for Dropcatcher - I have a problem with some credits I purchased.

I got one recently through pool.com and it's registered with Namescout.com.

The email I got, however, suggests that they use a number of registrars...

If you get it through SnapNames it'll be registered with Network Solutions and not only are they expensive but it might take a lot of e-mailing to get it transferred.

I got a name through pool.com, it was then registered with namescout. I then transfered it after one year to UKREG who I have all of my domains with. It was hassle free and there were no large transfer fees (apart from 1 years additional reg with UKREG).

Thanks - that's reassuring to hear.

Incidentally, I can't get onto my dropcatcher.co.uk account since last night - anybody else with the same problem.

Stephen.

This is incorrect. Co.uk names registered via SnapNames will be with BB-Online, not Network Solutions.
