I am sure this has been raised before here...had a look a sedo Premium Auction closing today in a few hours. I have to say the listings are dire for .co.uk! Appologies if you have a listing!

Does sedo no longer get domainers submitting names for these premium auctions?? If like myself others have submitted in the past and had good names turned down, perhaps like myself they nolonger bother?

Sedo must be losing ground with good sales (and revenue) if auctions like this continue. I have to ask who is the person picking the names for auction...because frankly they have no idea! Unless of course no names are being submitted, then my appologies to that person.

So either UK domainers have given up on sedo or the UK auction picker needs shooting! Looking at the downturn in sedo parking revenues it may well be that most UK domainers have now left sedo! A great shame as it was a good platform.

But why the downturn in parking revenues when the likes of google adsense continues to grow?? Can this be because parking companies like sedo have increased their parking revenue percentage share away from the customer!?

Sedo looks more and more like a failing business in the UK, less UK domainers listing names, less names for auction, complacent inexperienced staff and grabing revenues where it can! Maybe it has had its day? I dont mean this to be rude to sedo...just my thoughs for the day!

Bit of everything mate, imo it started to go down big style when they opened up their UK Office (How ironic). The UK rep may not have been giving sufficent powers etc or not up to it, I don't know. But when people like Shaun were in charge it seemed a lot better.

The .uk's are treated like dirt on the bottom of people's shoes by sedo. Not even given it's on search page on the sedo.uk site is unforgiveable. A landing page dedicated to the .uk's just on sedo.co.uk is all people ask, and they have asked for it for many years without joy.

Anyway they are dropping to a bedroom run type operation and be a mere memory soon.

The last good auction was easily 9 months ago now, some really good onces end of 2008 early 2009, I haven't really been tempted by anything for the last few months.

They cant list what people dont have for sale...

Oi nnh - I bought one of those! :p

Didn't think I'd be posting this BUT I bought singlesweekend.co.uk - paid for it, received transfer email and completed transfer in a day!

Yes in a day through Sedo!

Obviously Nominet's online process speeds things up greatly, but credit where credit is due.

As some of you will know I have not bought or sold a name via Sedo for ages now because I was shortchanged on a sale. It wasn't a great deal of money (Sedo blamed "bank charges" which was nonsense), but out of priinciple I walked away, even moving hundreds of parked names away from them to Namedrive (decent people).

I'm not about to return to Sedo and have no intention of bidding regularly, but saw that name going cheap and took a punt. Good to see Sedo can actually arrange for a sale to be completed almost immediately rather than me having to chase them for weeks.
