Hi all, I own a .com domain and want to use private WHOIS on it. I've noticed that the only companies offering privacy WHOIS services are always registrars... And you have to move your domain over to them to use it.

So why isn't there a company that isn't a registrar set up that charges us £10 a year to use their PO Box? I'd pay it, but I can't find such a company. I really can't be bothered to move the domain just to get it.

I'm sure there's an obvious answer, just curious.

You can use http://www.scanmypost.co.uk/ that's about £15 a year if I remember rightly. It's what I currently use.

These services aren't strictly anonymous, most will cave under an LBA and they have a legal requirement to hand over legit requests. Most american companies and those in backwater countries will ignore UK requests, of course these services ain't £15, but depends just how anon you need to be.
