Hi All,

Just launched our new company website, sent an email marketing campaign out today (A few of you have probably received).

www.stylescreative.com

Let me know what you think and any ideas for improvements etc.

Cheers,

Ben.

I had the email - but was flagged as spam.

It could be worth doing manual mailing rather than bulk depending on the size of the list.

Site looking nice though :)

Cheers,
Rob.

ya wee mincer emailing me your business spam.

new site looks good :D

I reported it as spam. After all, I'm not on a mailing list. Just FYI...

Nice enough site but your search seo is a little bit amiss …? Why don’t use some of the meta tags.?

Wouldn’t the below score higher Seo etc

“Web Design from Styles Creative a professional company providing ecommerce web design and internet marketing services including link building and email marketing”

Than

“Styles Creative is a professional web design company providing ecommerce web design and internet marketing services incluidng link building and email marketing”

You get penalised for bad spelling and I would have thought your primary would be Web design and maybe having the plural.... and website designer/s also check your keywords on your body text ? we all make mistakes but in your meta tags not good.. You can get away with it with enough links etc but could mean the difference between 1st page 5th and in a competitive field I’d sack your proof reader :)

Apologies Edwin and others...

I just emailed all contacts who we have done business with.

@ Edwin - ConservatoryFurniture/co/uk is now Number 1 on Google.co.uk :D
@ Khalid - Thought you would be interested, seeing as we use your services!
@ Namelot - Points taken on homepage, site isn't massively geared up for SEO atm, most traffic is referral. Content will need tweaking etc.. Has taken nearly 6 months to complete, kept getting put to the bottom of the pile...

Any more feedback on the site or suggested changes?

Would like to hear if anyone knows any good opportunities for national exposure (Links/Banners). Need to do some marketing on ourself for a change!

Cheers,

Ben.

That's very impressive, especially given the timeframe... I assume/hope it's getting decent traffic from the ranking? Any stats you can share? Anyway, a fantastic advert for the "power of a generic"!

Nice site.
Small criticism - the words "engagement rings" are too prominent - at the top of the site. It's the first thing my attention gravitated to on the page. For a split second I thought the site was about engagement rings.

Nice site, not sure about the name though! just my personal opinion. The word " styles " just dont work for me and is more fitting for a Hair or fashion site.

Its his surname, so not sure thats optional :)

Reminds me of a French Management Consultancy I dealt with once, decided to call themselves "Tours Management" because they were based in the town of Tours - then wondered why they kept getting taken for a holiday company ...

Although that could be a negative down the road if the company grows to the point where he'd like to sell it. Something neutral might have more "lastability"...

With the knowledge that I have now we should have chosen a keyword rich domain...

That said we have built up a good brand. I am a big fan of high exact generics and have learnt that the way to be successful in a niche is by having the correct domain name. You can get good results in a short amount of time dependent on the competition.

Thanks for all the feedback guys!
