Profitable minisite development blueprint? - Again

I wanted to add a link in the thread below about building profitable minisites.

However, its been closed for some reason! So I will have to start a new thread and discuss it here, instead. Seems a shame that it was closed as I think it was a very valuable thread that was closed for no apparent reason.

I think this (long) thread will be very helpful to domainers wanting to build out their portfolio. It basically provides another 'blueprint' domainers can follow........

I believe I read elsewhere that all threads not updated for 30 days are closed. I understand why such a change was brought in, though there are of course sometimes perfectly valid reasons to want to update an old thread.

I wonder if it's possible to allow an option for the author of the thread to unlock it.
