Hi all

Im wondering if anyone knows of a WordPress plugin that will list existing properties from say Right Move or On The Market.

Property hive integrates but its in the wrong direction. It will add property posts to their portal. I cant seem to find anything anywhere. Ideally id like to be able to display the properties from 1 estate agent on a site.

Thanks

The BLM format is intended to be sent to Rightmove, not extracted from. Most estate agency software can produce it and FTP it to you though. Full spec here:

Yep. That's what I've discovered also. It's the wrong way round for my purposes. I think the solution I've found will work. Zoopla has an API that supplies an XML feed based on url parameters. There's a plugin ( WP all import) that can map XML to posts. I'll set it on a cron and should be good. My initial play around looks promising.

It will be zoopla i'll try and use. They have an api for exactly that. There are T&C's of course , but as long as you adhere then all good.

Yeah, that looks good.

Presumably the content is identical to that on zoopla? Any ways to make it a bit unique and maybe get it to rank?

You could give an "our opinion" on each property? Monetising the property section might not be as hard as you think either - a few direct ad deals with removal companies and conveyancing firms for instance.

Thank you. Was a fun learning curve. I can't spin the content as not allowed to modify feed in any way ( which is fair enough) So i'd need to come up with something more creative.

Good idea . I was thinking along the lines also of once it's more established , having the import done on an estate agent basis (which i've investigated and can be done) and then charging the individual agents to add their properties to the list. That'll have to wait for the site to be more established though.
