Hi

With the registration company I'm using (which shall remain nameless for now), the new domains I register show Nominet status:

"Registration request being processed"

For a very long time. Is there any risk with this?

Thanks

It suggests that they haven't paid the Nominet invoice for this domain yet.

If it was more than two months ago, you should be slightly concerned. If more than three, perhaps a bit worried :)

Thanks, I am guessing this is some kind of Nominet payment setup issue. It would be much better for me if it just went straight to registered, but I guess they are allowed to delay payment if they want to. I don't know what the legal situation would be if they didn't / forgot to pay, but hopefully that won't happen.

Rgds

In the worst case scenario, I imagine Nominet would at least allow a Tag change so the fees can be collected through the new Registrar. Can't see them being such gits as to just cancel them on the spot tbh!

Nominet bills monthly and a tag holder can delete a domain within a few days of creation (can't remember the exact period offhand)
