i think in the beginning it will be a technical nightmare, not just for the people in charge of implementing it, but also for the millions of internet users in the world whose software will crash when they receive spam with dodgy characters in the address and problems like that.
This inclusion of chinese characters in the "internet alphabet" reminds me of what the characters in the screens in "the matrix" look like..
